CPA Exam Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree of 120 hours is required to sit for the exam. (150 hours is required withing 60 days of exam date)
Citizenship: Citizenship is not required.
Residency: Residency is not required.

CPA Licensure Requirements

Here’s what you need to become licensed in the state of Vermont.

Education: Bachelor's Degree of 150 semester hours is required.
Experience: 1 year experience which shall include public accounting experience and must include 500 hours of attest, of which no less than 200 hours must be related to the audit function
Ethics: Must complete a course of study in professional ethics for accountants acceptable to the Board
