Bachelor's degree of 120 hours is required to sit for the exam
24 semester hours in accounting courses
24 semester hours in business courses
Citizenship: Citizenship is not required.
Residency: Residency is not required.
Here’s what you need to become licensed in the state of South Carolina.
Education: Bachelor's Degree of 150 semester hours is required.
Experience: 1 year public accounting experience. Experience other than public accounting may count only in proportion to duties contributing to competence in public accounting. 5 years experience teaching accounting in a university recognized by the South Carolina State Board
Ethics: AICPA Ethics examination is required to be licensed.
